Four Dreams of Revival:

During the period from 16th to 19th June, we were traveling in Kuching. Before this trip, I prayed for an experience of the Christian revival that had once occurred here. Especially on the last evening of our hotel stay, I fervently prayed, hoping not to leave this place with any regrets. On the final night in Kuching, Sarawak, I received a series of revival dreams. Over these days, I’ve also discerned the symbolic meanings behind the revival dreams.

Four Dreams of Revival:

  1. The Dream of the Drawer:
In this dream, I saw the gift of revival from God, symbolizing a transfer of wealth to prosper God’s kingdom.

In the dream, I saw a drawer open, revealing a neat stack of bills inside. Then, I heard a voice saying, “This is God’s gift.”

In banking terms:
Drawer: The person who writes the check, instructing the bank to pay money.
Payee: The person who receives the check and gets the payment.
The Drawer authorizes the bank to pay money to the Payee.

God is like our Drawer, opening the drawer to shine His glorious light on us. He wants us to receive revival and attract people to witness this glorious light in our lives. He wants us to be Payees, receiving His abundant gifts, enabling us to have wealth to offer and build His glorious temple.

Scripture of Inspiration: Isaiah 60:1-7
Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with revival in Kuching. We arise and shine! Your light shines upon us, making us Your witnesses. You have prepared abundant gifts for us. This is like the Drawer in a bank transaction authorizing funds to be transferred to the Payee. You are the ultimate source of all blessings, authorizing abundant gifts to be transferred to Your people, so we can build Your glorious temple and the kingdom of revival. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. The Ladder Dream:
I saw a ladder in the hotel where we were staying, reminiscent of Jacob’s dream about the ladder in Genesis 28:11-13. During my devotion on June 20, I received a scripture, confirming that this is God’s window for our prayers: “This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name: ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’” (Jeremiah 33:2-3 NIV) 🙏 Lord, as we continuously pray for revival, You will surely respond and reveal to us great and unsearchable things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
  2. The Dream of Modern/Ancient Man:
I saw a modern man (a new person) dressed like an indigenous person (an ancient person), walking towards us. I felt this was God’s response to my prayer for renewal. He enables us to turn to Him, renew ourselves (new person), and return to the perfect creation (ancient person).

East Malaysia has the highest indigenous population, and Kuching is the capital of Sarawak in East Malaysia. Sarawak has the highest proportion of Christians in Malaysia, with nearly half of the residents being Christians. Fifty years ago, the indigenous people of East Malaysia experienced a great Christian revival, and its fruits remain to this day.

Scripture Received on June 21, Lamentations 5:21
Turn us back to You, O LORD, and we will be restored;
Renew our days as of old,

The original meaning of “of old” in this scripture is: east, ancient times, forefront, eternity. The word “of old” first appears in the Bible in Genesis 2:8, referring to the East of Garden of Eden.

🙏 Thank you, Lord. In Genesis 2:7, You formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being named Adam.
🙏 Lord, we are the people from this eastern Eden. We are the indigenous ones created from this “dust.”
🙏 Lord, let us turn to You and return to this eastern Eden. Breathe into us the breath of revival once more. Renew our days as of old. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. The Receipt Dream:
In the dream, I saw a paid receipt, clearly indicating Romans 8:28. In Christ, we receive the wind of revival, and all things work together for good! “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28 NIV)

Romans 8:26-27 mentions that the Holy Spirit helps us in our prayers, guiding us into this revival and into God’s will.
