Today is October 23rd, the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. This morning, the Holy Spirit specifically led me to go to PSA (Port of Singapore Authority) at 10:23 a.m. for a prayer proclamation. This proclamation was based on Job 23:10: “But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” For me, this verse signifies that after enduring trials, my faith and purity will be refined like gold in God’s hands.
A few minutes before I reached PSA, I heard someone calling my name, Daniel, from behind. I turned around and saw a friend whose name means “Manifestation of God.” This felt like a special revelation, as if God Himself was showing up on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. I greeted her quickly but realized that my task from the Holy Spirit—to complete this prayer proclamation at exactly 10:23 a.m.—was more pressing.
After completing the prayer, on my way back home, I saw an SK advertisement bus that read, “999 Pure Gold Bar, Pure Blessing, Full of Heart.” This immediately reminded me of the prayer I had just offered—the blessing of refined gold. It felt like God was responding to my prayer, using this advertisement to remind me that His blessings are pure and complete.
I reflected further on why the Holy Spirit led me to PSA. Singapore’s economic prosperity has long depended on its strategic port location. Port trade has always been the lifeblood of the nation’s economy. Coming here on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles seemed to symbolize God’s continual blessing and protection over this land, just as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit promises living waters.
On the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus declared, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.” (John 7:37-38) This scripture, along with my encounter with the “Manifestation of God” before 10:23, symbolized that we are to receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit’s blessing on this final day, bringing rivers of living water into our lives.
This prayer experience deeply impressed upon me that although trials are inevitable in life, after these trials, God’s blessings will appear as pure as refined gold. Just as Singapore’s success relies on its port economy, spiritually, we must fully rely on Jesus, the source of all our blessings.
