“无论何人，不要求自己的益处，乃要求别人的益处。” (哥林多前书 10:24)

益德满（Yì Dé Mǎn），他的名字寓意“益人以德，恩泽满溢”。他是一位成功的商人，拥有令人艳羡的财富和地位。他的生活充满了奢华的旅行、精致的宴会和无尽的社交活动。然而，每当夜深人静，他独自坐在宽敞却空荡的豪宅中，内心深处总有一丝难以言喻的空虚感挥之不去。

一天，在整理书房时，他无意间发现了一个尘封已久的护照。护照的封面已经磨损，显然经历了岁月的洗礼。翻开护照，他看到这是属于他的祖父——一位他小时候非常疼爱他的长者。护照内页夹着一张泛黄的纸条，上面用工整的字迹写着：

“我们都是世上的旅人，财富和地位只是过眼云烟。唯有用爱与善行，才能在心灵的旅途中找到真正的归宿。”

益德满凝视着这行文字，心中泛起涟漪。他开始回忆起童年时，祖父常带他去社区的孤儿院，给那些孩子们讲故事、送温暖。祖父总是说：“帮助别人，才能找到真正的快乐。”然而，随着事业的繁忙，益德满早已将这些话抛诸脑后。

那天晚上，他辗转反侧，难以入眠。于是，他走到书架前，取下尘封已久的圣经，随手翻开，目光落在哥林多前书 10:24——

“无论何人，不要求自己的益处，乃要求别人的益处。”

这句话如同一道闪电，照亮了他内心的黑暗。他意识到，自己一直在追求个人的成功和满足，却忽视了身边需要帮助的人们。真正的财富，不在于拥有多少，而在于给予多少；真正的满足，源于为他人带来希望和温暖。

他终于明白，若要真正成为“益德满”，他的生命必须充满益处，德行满溢，恩泽他人。

第二天清晨，益德满做出了一个改变人生的决定。他开始投身于慈善事业，利用自己的资源建立收容所，为无家可归的人提供温暖的庇护；设立奖学金，资助贫困但有才华的学生追求梦想；支持医疗机构，为患病的儿童提供治疗和关怀。

随着时间的推移，益德满的内心逐渐被充实和喜悦填满。他发现，看到别人因自己的帮助而展露笑容，比任何商业成就都更令他满足。

多年后的一天，他再次翻开祖父的那本护照，轻轻抚摸着那张泛黄的纸条，眼中闪烁着泪光。他低声说道：

“谢谢您，祖父。我终于明白了，真正的旅程，是用心去爱，用行动去帮助。现在，我找到了回家的路。”

在那一刻，益德满感受到前所未有的平静和满足。他知道，自己的生命因为给予而变得更加丰盈，而这，才是他一直在寻找的真正财富。

从此，他的名字不再只是一个称号，而成为了他的使命——真正的益德满。

The Passport to True Wealth

“No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.” (1 Corinthians 10:24)

Yideman (益德满) carried a name rich with meaning—“benefiting others with virtue, overflowing with grace.” He was a successful businessman, admired for his wealth and status. His life was filled with luxurious travels, lavish banquets, and endless social events. Yet, in the stillness of the night, as he sat alone in his vast but empty mansion, an unshakable emptiness lingered in his heart.

One day, while tidying up his study, he stumbled upon an old, dust-covered passport. The cover was worn, bearing the marks of time. As he opened it, he saw that it belonged to his grandfather—a man who had dearly loved him in his childhood. Inside the passport was a yellowed piece of paper, carefully tucked between the pages, with neat handwriting that read:

“We are all travelers in this world. Wealth and status are but fleeting shadows. Only through love and good deeds can we find our true home in the journey of the soul.”

Yideman stared at these words, ripples stirring in his heart. Memories of his childhood resurfaced—his grandfather often took him to the local orphanage, telling stories to the children and bringing them warmth. His grandfather would always say, “Helping others is the key to true happiness.” But as Yideman became consumed by his career, those words had long faded from his mind.

That night, he lay awake, unable to sleep. He got up, walked to his bookshelf, and pulled out his long-neglected Bible. Randomly flipping through the pages, his eyes landed on 1 Corinthians 10:24—

“No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.”

The words struck him like lightning, illuminating the darkness in his heart. He realized that he had spent his life chasing personal success and satisfaction while neglecting those in need around him. True wealth is not measured by how much one possesses, but by how much one gives; true fulfillment comes from bringing hope and warmth to others.

At that moment, he finally understood—if he was to truly embody the name “Yideman,” his life must be one of virtue, overflowing with goodness, and bringing blessings to others.

The next morning, Yideman made a life-changing decision. He dedicated himself to philanthropy, using his resources to establish shelters for the homeless, providing them with warmth and security; he set up scholarships to support underprivileged but talented students in pursuing their dreams; he funded medical institutions to offer care and treatment for sick children.

As time passed, Yideman’s heart became filled with joy and fulfillment. He discovered that seeing others smile because of his help was far more rewarding than any business achievement.

Years later, he once again opened his grandfather’s old passport, gently brushing his fingers over the faded piece of paper. Tears welled up in his eyes as he whispered:

“Thank you, Grandpa. I finally understand—the true journey is one of love, and our true purpose is to help others. Now, I have found my way home.”

At that moment, Edmund felt an unparalleled sense of peace and fulfillment. He knew that his life had become truly abundant—not because of what he had gained, but because of what he had given.

From that day forward, his name was no longer just a title, but a mission—he had become the true Yideman.
