“祭司要把些油倒在自己的左手掌里，右手的一个指头蘸着左手掌里的油，在耶和华面前向前弹七次。又要把油抹在那洁净之人的右耳垂上、右手的大拇指上、右脚的大拇趾上，就是抹在赎愆祭血所抹的地方。手掌里的油所剩的，祭司要抹在那得洁净之人的头上，在耶和华面前为他赎罪。”

Title: From Cleansing to Consecration

“The priest is to pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand, and with his right forefinger sprinkle some of the oil from his palm seven times before the Lord. Some of the oil in his palm he is to put on the same places he put the blood of the guilt offering—on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot. The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed, to make atonement for them before the Lord.”

This passage describes the cleansing ritual for someone who has been healed. The priest pours oil into his left palm and uses his right finger to sprinkle the oil seven times before the Lord, symbolizing complete cleansing and consecration.

He then applies the oil to the right earlobe, right thumb, and right big toe of the one being cleansed—on the same spots where the blood of the guilt offering had been applied. This represents:
• Earlobe – A willingness to hear God’s word
• Thumb – Hands committed to holy work

Just as the priest ministered to the cleansed person, we too must allow God to consecrate our lives anew—to live set apart, holy, and purposeful.

Lord, thank You for Your healing and forgiveness that has made me clean. Help me to fully return to You—listening to Your voice, working with hands that honor You, and walking in paths that please You. May Your Holy Spirit fill me and set me apart to live a life that glorifies Your name.
