📜 Title: Receiving Praise from God
🗓️ Date: June 6, 2025
📖 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 4:5
“Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes.
He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart.
At that time each will receive their praise from God.”
⸻
I. 🕰️ The Wisdom of Waiting — Do Not Judge Prematurely
The Lord reminds us: “Do not judge anything before the appointed time.”
We often judge people and situations by appearances, but God sees the full picture.
He is the final Judge and the All-Knowing One.
He knows what we do not, and He sees every act of hidden faithfulness.
So we do not need to defend ourselves or fear misunderstanding.
God knows the truth.
⸻
II. 🔦 The Light That Reveals — God Searches the Heart
“He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart.”
God is not impressed by outward appearance — He searches the depths of our hearts.
The quiet prayers, silent tears, patient endurance, and unseen offerings —
none of them are lost in His sight.
This is a call to live in reverent fear of the Lord,
and a comfort to those who serve Him in silence and humility.
He will not forget the faithful.
⸻
III. 🕊️ The Greatest Reward — Praise from God
“At that time each will receive their praise from God.”
The applause of the world fades away,
but God’s praise is eternal and glorious.
On that day, the Lord will say to His faithful servants:
“Well done, good and faithful servant. Come and share your Master’s joy.” (Matthew 25:21)
God’s praise is not reserved for the famous or successful,
but for those who remain faithful in the dark,
and obedient in silence.
⸻
🙏 Closing Prayer:
Lord,
I choose to wait for Your glorious day.
I will not live for human approval or personal reputation.
I only long that, when You come,
my thoughts, motives, and inner life may stand before You.
Lord, Your praise is worth more than all the applause of this world.
Help me walk quietly and faithfully on the path You have prepared for me,
until that day You place the crown of glory upon my head.
Amen.
