一、神的问题：“你手中有什么？”

当神在荆棘火焰中向摩西显现时，祂问的第一个问题并不是关于未来的计划，也不是摩西的能力，而是一个非常简单而深刻的问题：

“你手里有什么？”（出埃及记 4:2）

摩西的回答是：“一根杖。”

这是一根平凡的牧羊杖，或许是摩西在旷野四十年日复一日生活的象征。那是一段默默无闻、看似与命定无关的岁月。然而，神正是从这一根普通的杖开始，让摩西的人生进入命定的转折点。

二、顺服之后，平凡之物变为神迹之钥

当摩西愿意顺服神的呼召，这根杖从此不再普通，而成为“神的杖”（出4:20）。

这根杖，在摩西的生命中不断被神使用：

当摩西把杖丢在地上，它变成蛇，又再被神吩咐拿起来，恢复原状（出4:3-4）。
在法老王面前，这根杖成为彰显神权柄的工具，胜过埃及术士（出7:10-12）。
当红海挡在以色列人面前，摩西举起这根杖，神使海水分开，百姓走干地而过（出14:16）。
在旷野缺水时，摩西用杖击打磐石，神使活水涌流，供应百姓所需（出17:5-6）。
面对亚玛力人的攻击，摩西举起这根杖，为百姓代求，只要杖举起，战局就得胜（出17:9-13）。

三、属灵亮点：从“我有”到“神能”

神所要的，从来不是我们“没有的”，而是我们“手中已经有的”。
神要的，不是我们多有能力，而是我们是否愿意把现有的一切，完全交在祂手中。

摩西的杖原本平凡无奇，但因着顺服，它成为神行神迹、施怜悯、施审判、供应百姓、带来得胜的工具。

顺服，是神迹的钥匙。
信心，是打开神能力之门的第一步。

四、今天的反思与回应：

今天，神也在问我们：“你手中有什么？”

也许是你的时间，也许是你的恩赐，也许是你的人际关系，甚至是你的一段经历。
也许是看似微不足道的资源，也许只是你的一颗愿意顺服的心。

你是否愿意像摩西一样，把手中的“杖”交在神的手里？
让祂来决定怎么使用，让祂来彰显奇迹。

神不需要我们手中拥有全世界，祂只需要我们真诚地说：“主啊，我愿意。”

“你手中有什么？”

当我们甘心交出，神可以用最平凡的器皿，做成最不平凡的事。

1. God’s Question: “What Is in Your Hand?”

When God appeared to Moses in the burning bush, His first question was not about grand plans or Moses’ abilities. Instead, God asked a simple yet profound question:

“What is that in your hand?” (Exodus 4:2)

Moses answered, “A staff.”

It was an ordinary shepherd’s staff, a symbol of his forty years of life in the wilderness—silent, unseen, and seemingly disconnected from any great destiny. Yet at that very moment, God chose to begin His mighty work through this simple staff, marking a turning point in Moses’ life.

2. When Obedience Turns the Ordinary into a Key for Miracles

When Moses chose to obey God’s calling, this ordinary staff became known as “the staff of God” (Exodus 4:20).

Throughout Moses’ journey, this staff was repeatedly used by God:

When Moses threw it on the ground, it became a snake, and when he picked it up again, it returned to a staff (Exodus 4:3-4).
Before Pharaoh, it became a symbol of God’s authority, overcoming the magicians of Egypt (Exodus 7:10-12).
When the Red Sea stood before Israel, Moses lifted this staff, and God parted the waters so the people could cross on dry ground (Exodus 14:16).
In the wilderness, when the people thirsted, Moses struck the rock with this staff, and water flowed out to meet their need (Exodus 17:5-6).
When the Amalekites attacked, Moses stood on the hill and lifted the staff high in intercession. As long as the staff was raised, Israel prevailed (Exodus 17:9-13).

3. Spiritual Insight: From “What I Have” to “What God Can Do”

What God desires is not what we lack, but what we already have in our hands.
It’s not about our own abilities, but about whether we are willing to surrender what we have to Him.

Moses’ staff was once ordinary and insignificant.
But through obedience, it became a vessel for miracles, a tool for deliverance, a symbol of provision, and a weapon for victory.

Obedience is the key to miracles.
Faith is the first step that unlocks God’s power.

4. Reflection and Response for Today:

Today, God is still asking us: “What is in your hand?”

It could be your time, your gifts, your relationships, or even your past experiences.
Perhaps it’s a resource you think is too small to matter—or simply your willingness to obey.

Are you willing, like Moses, to surrender what’s in your hand to God?
To let Him decide how to use it and let Him display His power through it?

God doesn’t need us to possess the whole world in our hands.
He only needs us to sincerely say: “Lord, I am willing.”

“What is in your hand?”

When we let go and surrender, God can use the most ordinary vessel
to accomplish the most extraordinary works.
