即使在受苦中,也不忘关爱别人;
即使没有地位,也不轻看自己;

📖 The Servant Girl Who Loved Her Enemy: The Light of Faith in the Unknown

📅 Date: July 8, 2025
📍 Scripture: 2 Kings 5:3

“If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.”

  1. Captured, Yet Willing to Bless Her Captor

This young servant girl was an Israelite, taken captive by the Arameans and made to serve Naaman’s wife. Though low in status, she held no resentment. Instead, she had compassion for her sick master and pointed him toward a path of hope.

She could have remained silent or sought revenge — but she chose love.

  1. Her One Sentence Reveals Three Spiritual Highlights
  2. A Heart of Compassion

“If only…” — an expression of deep yearning, not cold detachment, but genuine mercy.

  1. Unshakable Faith

“The prophet in Samaria” — though taken far from home, she never forgot God, and still believed in His power.

  1. Spiritual Insight

“He would cure him” — not maybe, but surely. Her words reflected trust in God’s healing authority.

  1. Her Love Surpassed Status, Culture, and History
    • She was a captive slave, yet cared for her master’s life.
    • She was a foreign girl, yet believed Israel’s God shows grace to all nations.
    • She had no title, yet her words moved a general and changed a nation.

She was the smallest vessel, yet carried the greatest message.

  1. We Too Can Be Like This Servant Girl
    • When someone is in pain, can you offer a word of kindness?
    • When facing someone who hurt you, can you bless them?
    • Though you may seem small, God can use you to change a life — even a household.

🙏 Prayer of Response

Lord, give me a heart like this servant girl —
Even in suffering, let me not forget to love others;
Even without status, let me not despise myself;
Even if I say only one word, let it be a channel of Your grace.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
