所罗门拥有极致的智慧、财富、地位与享乐，但他坦然承认：

若没有永恒的方向，每天的追求终将变成一场徒劳。

“日头出来，日头落下……风来风去……江河流入海却不满……眼看，看不饱；耳听，听不足。”（传 1:5–8）

Each day of our lives is shaped by a certain pattern.
Some unknowingly fall into cycles of emptiness, while others walk the path of revering God.
Ecclesiastes helps us recognize these patterns and invites us to make a change.

1️⃣ Pursuit → Emptiness

Solomon possessed unmatched wisdom, wealth, status, and pleasure—yet he confessed:

“When I surveyed all that my hands had done… everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind.” (Ecclesiastes 2:11)

🔍 Reflection: We assume that having more will satisfy us, yet we ignore the true hunger of the soul.
Without an eternal direction, our daily pursuits will eventually feel meaningless.

2️⃣ Repetition → Weariness

“The sun rises and the sun sets… the wind blows… the streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full… The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing.” (Ecclesiastes 1:5–8)

🌪 Reflection: When our busy routines lose their purpose, life becomes mechanical.
Many people live in this pattern of “motion without meaning”—the busier they are, the more lost they feel.

3️⃣ Reality → Imbalance

Solomon observed:
• Justice isn’t always rewarded, and the wicked often prosper (7:15)
• A person’s hard-earned gains may end up with someone else (2:21)
• Wise or foolish, righteous or wicked—everyone meets the same end: death (9:2)

⚖️ Reflection: When reality doesn’t match our expectations, frustration, bitterness, and confusion can easily take over.
If we don’t view life from God’s perspective, we fall into the “life-is-unfair” pattern.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

⏳ Reflection: Waiting is not a waste of time, but a divine process of shaping our character.

After all his reflections, Solomon concluded:

“Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

✨ Reflection: True freedom is not doing whatever we want, but letting God lead our lives.
To fear God is to break free from the cycle of emptiness and step into a life of abundance.

If we live only “under the sun,” all is ultimately meaningless.
But if we look up to the God “above the sun,” we can break free from confusion
and enter a life that is rich, whole, and truly abundant.
