• 忙于服事,却忽略祷告;
• 爱热闹聚会,却不肯悔改;
🎡 Title: Don’t Get Lost in the Spiritual Carnival
🗓 Date: July 29, 2025
📖 Scripture: Micah 6:6–9 (Focus: 6:9)
⸻
- False Godliness: Loud, but Empty (Micah 6:6–7)
“With what shall I come before the Lord… Shall I offer year-old calves? Thousands of rams? Rivers of oil? Shall I offer my firstborn…?”
Faced with God’s rebuke, the Israelites did not repent. Instead, they tried to compensate by offering more and greater sacrifices. They asked, “What should I offer?”—but never asked, “What should I change?”
This is the deception of the spiritual carnival—external godliness masking an empty heart. We may attend services, serve in ministries, and join every event, yet miss the very thing God truly wants: a transformed and sincere life.
⸻
- God’s Desire: Not More, but Real (Micah 6:8)
“He has shown you, O man, what is good… To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
God’s desire is not complicated. He has already clearly told us what He wants:
• To act justly: To stand for truth and do what is right in all relationships.
• To love mercy: To treat others with gentleness and compassion, not coldness or judgment.
• To walk humbly with your God: To acknowledge God as Lord, and to follow His leading every step of the way.
This is not a momentary emotional response, but a daily life of genuine obedience.
⸻
- God’s Call: Breaking Illusion, Awakening Hearts (Micah 6:9)
“The Lord calls to the city, and the wise fear His name: ‘Listen! The rod and the One who appointed it!’”
This verse is the climax of the whole passage. God is no longer gently reminding—He is publicly calling out sin and rebellion.
His voice was not only directed at ancient Jerusalem, but speaks clearly to us today:
• He calls out, because our ears are clogged by spiritual noise.
• The wise fear His name, because they recognize His voice and respond with repentance.
• “Listen!” is both a stern warning and a loving plea—don’t pretend you didn’t hear. The rod of discipline is not random; it is divinely appointed.
⸻
- Where Are We Today?
Have we also been caught up in the spiritual carnival for too long?
• Busy in ministry, but neglecting prayer.
• Loving lively gatherings, but resisting repentance.
• Passionate on the outside, but dry on the inside.
God is calling out:
“Listen! Stop pretending you can’t hear or see.”
True godliness is not found in lights and stages, but in justice, mercy, and humble obedience.
⸻
🙏 Response Prayer
Lord,
Deliver me from the fog of spiritual performance.
Help me hear Your voice and see Your heart.
Let me no longer use noise to cover my coldness,
Nor hide behind activity to avoid repentance.
Make me one who truly fears Your name,
Free from all pretense, walking with You in truth.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
