乞求金银是短暂的希望;
🕊️ From the Beautiful Gate to Praise — Let the Paralyzed Life Stand Up
📅 October 14, 2025 (Tuesday)
⸻
✨ 1. The Time and Place of Encounter
Acts 3:1 — One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon.
In the rhythm of daily prayer, God’s supernatural work suddenly appeared.
Peter and John were walking toward the temple — toward the presence of God.
Miracles often happen on the way toward Him, not while standing still.
⸻
🏛 2. The Beautiful Gate: Outward Splendor vs. Inner Brokenness
Acts 3:2 — Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful…
The Beautiful Gate was one of the most magnificent bronze doors of the temple,
yet at its entrance sat a man crippled from birth.
He depended on others to carry him and on alms to survive —
placed daily at the gate of glory, but unable to enter that glory.
Many of us also linger at “the gate”: at the edge of faith, success, or ministry,
yet still crippled inside.
God’s desire is not for us to sit outside the gate, but to enter His presence.
⸻
🙏 3. Renewed Expectation: From Silver and Gold to Life
Acts 3:3–5 — He asked them for money… The man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.
To ask for money is to hope for survival;
but God gives the power to walk and live.
Faith begins when our expectation shifts
—from “what I can get” to “how I can be transformed.”
Often when we expect silver and gold,
God gives us His Kingdom instead.
⸻
✝️ 4. The Power in the Name of Jesus
Acts 3:6 — “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”
Peter had no silver or gold, but he had the Name of Jesus.
A man without Christ may have wealth, yet cannot heal a crippled soul.
God calls us to be people who act “in Jesus’ name” —
not relying on resources, but on His presence and authority.
⸻
💪 5. The Right Hand of Strength — The Response of Faith
Acts 3:7 — Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
The right hand in Scripture symbolizes strength and authority.
Peter reached out, and the man also reached out —
when human faith meets divine grace, power flows.
The moment of being “lifted up” is the moment faith comes alive.
⸻
💃 6. Freedom to Worship: Walking, Leaping, Praising
Acts 3:8 — He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.
The goal of healing is not mobility but worship.
A man once unable to move now “walks, leaps, and praises God” —
this is the mark of true freedom.
He no longer watches others worship;
he himself becomes the living song.
⸻
👀 7. The Power of Testimony
Acts 3:9–10 — When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him… and they were filled with wonder and amazement.
When God’s power is revealed, people are amazed —
not at human ability, but at the living God.
One life lifted up can ignite faith in many others.
Every healed person becomes a walking testimony of grace.
⸻
🌿 Prayer of Response
Lord, I often linger at the Beautiful Gate,
thinking I need silver and gold,
but You know I need Your Name.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
lift up my weakened faith, strengthen my spirit,
help me rise, walk, and leap into worship.
May I no longer sit at the gate,
but enter Your presence with praise.
Let my life become a living testimony of Your glory.
Amen.
