【帖前 3:4】

我们在你们那里的时候，预先告诉你们，我们必受患难，以后果然应验了，你们也知道。

【帖前 3:5】

为此，我既不能再忍，就打发人去，要晓得你们的信心如何，恐怕那诱惑人的到底诱惑了你们，叫我们的劳苦归于徒然。

【帖前 3:6】

但提摩太刚才从你们那里回来，将你们信心和爱心的好消息报给我们，又说你们常常记念我们，切切地想见我们，如同我们想见你们一样。

一、考验——信心被炼净

保罗提醒我们：信仰的路不会平坦。
神让我们预先知道将有患难，
不是要吓唬我们，
而是要我们在试炼中更坚定地信靠祂。

信心若不经过火，就难以发光；
信心若不被风浪摇动，就难以扎根。
当试炼来到时，请记得——
这是神在塑造一个更坚韧的你。

二、预言的预备——圣灵的提醒与牧者的心

保罗写信时，心中充满牵挂。
他担心信徒被诱惑、被动摇，
那是一颗牧者的心——
柔软、关怀、又充满代祷的爱。

圣灵也常如此，
祂在事前提醒我们，不是为了让人惧怕，
而是要我们有准备、有信心去面对挑战。

神的预言，是爱的预告；
牧者的心，是爱的流露。
两者都出于同一位主——
祂在我们未跌倒前，就先伸出手。

三、得胜——信心与爱心的喜讯

提摩太带回了令人喜乐的消息：
信徒的信心仍坚定，爱心仍炽热。
这是最美的得胜——
不是没有试炼，而是经过试炼仍能爱、仍能信。

真正的胜利，不是逃避风暴，
而是在风暴中依然仰望神。

🙏 祷告

主啊，感谢祢，
祢在我们受试炼前，就已用预言预备我们的心，
又差派牧者、弟兄姊妹彼此扶持。

求祢使我们的信心被炼净，
在患难中不退后，
在诱惑中不动摇，
在爱中继续得胜。

奉主耶稣的名，
阿们。

1 Thessalonians 3:4

When we were with you, we kept telling you that we would suffer afflictions; and it has happened, as you know.

1 Thessalonians 3:5

For this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to find out about your faith, fearing that the tempter might have tempted you and our labor would be in vain.

1 Thessalonians 3:6

But now that Timothy has come to us from you and has brought good news of your faith and love, and that you always remember us kindly and long to see us, just as we long to see you.

1. The Test — Faith Refined Through Fire

Paul reminds us that the journey of faith is never without trials.
God lets us know beforehand that hardships will come—
not to frighten us,
but to strengthen our trust in Him when testing arrives.

Faith that has never been through fire cannot shine,
and faith that has never faced storms cannot take root.
When trials come, remember this:
God is shaping in you a stronger, more steadfast heart.

2. Prophetic Preparation — The Spirit’s Reminder and the Shepherd’s Heart

When Paul wrote this letter, his heart was full of concern.
He worried that the believers might be tempted or shaken.
This is the heart of a shepherd—
tender, caring, and filled with interceding love.

The Holy Spirit still works in the same way today.
He warns us in advance, not to make us afraid,
but to prepare our hearts with faith and courage for what lies ahead.

God’s prophecy is a message of love;
the shepherd’s heart is the expression of that love.
Both come from the same Lord—
the One who reaches out His hand
even before we stumble.

3. Victory — The Good News of Faith and Love

Timothy brought joyful news:
the believers’ faith remained strong, and their love still burned bright.
This is the most beautiful victory—
not the absence of trials,
but faith and love that endure through them.

True victory is not escaping the storm,
but looking to God even in the midst of it.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, thank You,
for You have already prepared our hearts through prophecy
and placed shepherds and brothers and sisters around us to strengthen us.

Refine our faith, Lord,
that we may not shrink back in suffering,
nor waver in temptation,
but continue to overcome in love.

In the name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
