被放在芦苇间的蒲草箱里,漂浮在尼罗河上;
✨ Moses: Saved from the Reeds, Fulfilling Salvation at the Red Sea
📅 November 7, 2025
📖 Exodus 2:3, 2:10, 14:21–22
“But when she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with tar and pitch.
Then she placed the child in it and put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile.” (Exodus 2:3)
“When the child grew older, she took him to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son.
She named him Moses, saying, ‘I drew him out of the water.’” (Exodus 2:10)
“Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land.
The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground.” (Exodus 14:21–22)
🌿 Meditation
The name Moses means “drawn out of the water.”
From infancy, his life was in God’s hands —
placed in a papyrus basket among the reeds of the Nile,
and later chosen by God to lead an entire nation through the Sea of Reeds (the Red Sea).
God used water to begin his story,
and water again to fulfill his mission.
From the still reeds by the riverbank
to the roaring waves of the sea,
Moses’ life testified to one truth:
The God who saves always makes a way through the waters.
💧 Spiritual Insights
• The Calling in the Name: Moses’ name carried his destiny — saved to become a savior.
• The Fragility of Reeds: God hides His power within what seems weak and ordinary.
• The Parting of the Red Sea: God can open a dry path even in the deepest impossibility.
The place where God saved you will become the place where He uses you.
Those who have been drawn out of the waters will one day lead others through the waves.
🙏 Prayer
Lord,
thank You for drawing me out of the waters, just as You did for Moses.
You lifted me from despair and gave me new life.
Whether in the calm among the reeds or the storm at the sea,
Your hand has always been upon me.
Let me remember my name and calling—
saved by You, to live for You.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
