圣殿曾被玷污,如今被洁净;

一座被重新献上的建筑;

🕎 At the Feast of Dedication, the Light Did Not Leave the Temple

📅 Date
December 17, 2025 (During Hanukkah, the Feast of Dedication)

📖 Scripture

John 10:22–23

“Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter,
and Jesus was walking in the temple courts, in Solomon’s Colonnade.”

🕯️ Devotional

The Feast of Dedication is a celebration of restoration.
The temple had been defiled, and now it was cleansed.
The lamp that nearly went out was lit again.

John deliberately reminds us:
It was winter.

This is more than a note about the season.
It is a spiritual backdrop—
coldness, heaviness, and a people waiting for deliverance.

In such a moment,
Jesus did not avoid the temple.
Instead, He walked within it.

The people were commemorating
a building that had been rededicated.
Yet they failed to recognize
that God’s true presence was standing among them.

At Hanukkah, many lamps are lit,
yet some still do not see the light.
For the true Light
is not something displayed in a festival,
but the One who walks into the human heart.

The Light has already come—
not merely to be remembered,
but to be received.

🙏 Prayer

Lord,
when I observe the seasons yet miss Your presence,
when I light the lamps yet still walk in darkness,
help me to see—
You are not a distant light shining afar,
You are walking within the temple of my life.

Amen.
