💗 Devotional: Rooted in Love

Scripture: 2 John 1:5

“And now I ask you, dear lady—not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning—that we love one another.”

Devotional Reflection:
Love is not a momentary feeling,
but a continual obedience.
When love is rooted in truth,
it will not be shaken by changing circumstances,
nor will it lose its boundaries in order to please others.

Today, God is not inviting you to “express more,”
but to root deeper—
to let truth be the soil of love,
and obedience the direction of love.

Prayer:
Lord,
keep my love from remaining on the surface.
Help me to be rooted in truth
and to live out Your love through obedience.
Amen.
