📖 撒母耳记下 2:1
“此后，大卫问耶和华说：‘我上犹大的一个城去可以吗？’耶和华说：‘可以。’
大卫说：‘我上哪一个城去呢？’耶和华说：‘上希伯仑去。’”

一、先安静在神面前
主啊，
我来到你面前，
不是要你祝福我的计划，
而是要你指引我的脚步。
求你今天教我慢下来，
听你说话。

二、大卫已经有应许，却仍然选择询问
这时候的大卫：
• 扫罗已经死了
• 他早就被膏为王
• 机会已经出现
• 条件看起来已经成熟
如果换作是我们，
很可能会说：“时候到了，该行动了。”
但大卫没有凭感觉行动，
他做的第一件事是：
“我问耶和华。”
他不是问：
“我该怎么布局？”
“我该从哪里开始掌权？”
他先问的是：
“现在，可以吗？”
这提醒我：
不是每一个“看起来对的时机”，
都是神的时间。

三、神说“可以”之后，大卫还继续问
神已经说：“可以。”
但大卫没有就此自己决定，
他继续问：
“我上哪一个城去呢？”
这让我看见一件很宝贵的事：
大卫不是只要神的“许可”，
他是要神的“带领”。
很多时候我们祷告，
只是希望神点头同意我们的想法。
但真正的跟随是：
连下一步怎么走，也交给神来定。

四、为什么是“希伯仑”？
希伯仑不是最大的城，
也不是最有战略价值的地方，
但它是：
• 亚伯拉罕曾经筑坛的地方
• 列祖安葬的地方
• 是信心和应许的起点
神没有让大卫一步登天，
而是带他回到应许的根基，
从那里开始，一步一步建立。
这让我明白：
神常常不是带我们去“最快成功”的地方，
而是带我们去“最稳妥对齐”的地方。

五、今天对我来说意味着什么？
这节经文在问我：
• 我现在的决定，是出于“机会”，还是出于“寻求神”？
• 我是在求神祝福我的路，还是在问神：你的路在哪里？
• 我有没有在“可以”之后，继续问：“你要我怎么走？”

六、今天的操练
今天我要学习：
不急着动，
先对齐神。
不只是问“能不能”，
也问“往哪里”。

七、祷告
主啊，
求你救我脱离急躁的心，
也救我脱离自作主张的聪明。
教我像大卫一样，
一步一步问你，
一步一步跟随你。
不是走得快，
而是走得对。
不是抓住机会，
而是走在你的时间里。
我要的不是成功，
我要的是与你对齐的脚步。

🌿 Walking Step by Step in God’s Timing

📖 2 Samuel 2:1
“In the course of time, David inquired of the LORD, ‘Shall I go up to one of the towns of Judah?’
He said, ‘Go up.’
David asked, ‘Where shall I go?’
‘To Hebron,’ the LORD answered.”

- First, Be Still Before God
Lord,
I come before You today,
not to ask You to bless my plans,
but to ask You to direct my steps.
Teach me to slow down today,
and to listen to Your voice.

- David Already Had the Promise, Yet He Still Chose to Ask
At this moment, David:
• Saul was already dead
• He had long been anointed as king
• The opportunity had appeared
• The conditions seemed ripe
If it were us,
we would probably say, “The time has come. It’s time to act.”
But David did not act based on his feelings.
The first thing he did was:
“I inquired of the LORD.”
He did not ask:
“How should I plan my strategy?”
“Where should I begin to take power?”
He first asked:
“Is it okay to move now?”
This reminds me:
Not every moment that looks right
is God’s timing.

- After God Said “Yes,” David Continued to Ask
God had already said, “Go.”
But David did not decide the next step by himself.
He continued to ask:
“Where shall I go?”
This shows me something very precious:
David did not only want God’s permission;
he wanted God’s guidance.
Many times when we pray,
we only hope that God will agree with our ideas.
But true following means:
Even the next step is decided by God.

- Why Hebron?
Hebron was not the biggest city,
nor the most strategically important one.
But it was:
• The place where Abraham once built an altar
• The place where the patriarchs were buried
• The starting point of faith and promise
God did not let David rise to the top in one step.
Instead, He brought him back to the foundation of the promise,
and built things from there, step by step.
This helps me understand:
God often does not lead us to the place of “fastest success,”
but to the place of “deepest alignment.”

- What Does This Mean for Me Today?
This passage is asking me:
• Are my current decisions driven by “opportunity,” or by “seeking God”?
• Am I asking God to bless my way, or am I asking God: Where is Your way?
• After hearing “yes,” do I still continue to ask: “How do You want me to walk?”

- Today’s Practice
Today I want to learn:
Not to rush,
but to align with God first.
Not only to ask “Can I?”
but also to ask “Where should I go?”

- Prayer
Lord,
deliver me from a restless heart,
and also from the pride of self-made decisions.
Teach me, like David,
to ask You step by step,
and to follow You step by step.
Not to walk fast,
but to walk right.
Not to seize opportunities,
but to walk in Your timing.
What I want is not success.
What I want is steps that are aligned with You.
In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
