🌿 The Years Restored
📅 February 7, 2026
📖 Book of Joel 2:25

“I will restore to you the years
that the swarming locust has eaten…”

🌙 Devotional

Joel is not speaking about a small loss.

He is speaking about years being consumed.

Not one failure,
but an entire stretch of life
that feels wasted:

effort without result,
prayers without visible answer,
plans constantly delayed,
the heart growing tired.

God does not deny the reality of the loss.

He does not say:

“It was nothing.”

He says:

“I will restore.”

This is Jubilee language.

Not simple compensation,
but restored identity, restored future, restored rhythm.

God does not merely give you new blessings.
He can weave the years that looked wasted
into a new glory.

In God’s hands:

brokenness is never wasted,
waiting is never wasted,
tears are never wasted.

You think you lost time.
God is preparing deeper life.

The heart of Jubilee
is not returning to the past —
it is entering a renewed future.

✨ Reflection

Are there “eaten years”
you have been afraid to give to God?

Today is not about explaining them.

It is about surrendering them.

God does not only govern the future —
He redeems the past.

🙏 Prayer

Lord,

You see the seasons I have lost,
the regrets and sighs in my heart.

I place those years into Your hands.
Restore, heal, renew.

Turn waste into testimony,
waiting into strength,
the past into a foundation of grace.

Let me no longer live in regret,
but live in Your restoration.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
