We do not escape the world—we overcome it while living in it.

“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.”
The world attracts people mainly through three things:
• The lust of the flesh — the desires of the body

• The pride of life — the pursuit of status, achievement, and recognition
