🌿 Under His Wings: Grace for the Unworthy

📅 March 24, 2026

📖 Scripture of the Day

“Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you notice me—a foreigner?”
— Ruth 2:10 (cf. 2:10–13)

✨ Devotional Meditation

She fell facedown
and asked a painfully honest question:

👉 “Why me?”

She knew who she was—
a foreigner,
a widow,
a woman with no status.

So she was even more stunned:

👉 How could I be treated like this?

Many times,
we grow used to grace
and stop being amazed by it.

But Ruth was different.

She never assumed anything was owed to her.
Instead, she bowed low and saw clearly:

👉 All of this is grace.

Boaz said to her:

“Everything you have done has been fully reported to me.”

Those unseen days,
those quiet choices—

👉 God remembers them.

She left her homeland,
stepped into the unknown,
and stayed with someone who had lost everything.

These seemingly ordinary decisions
were precious in God’s eyes.

But the deepest line was this:

👉 “You have come to take refuge under the wings of the Lord.”

She didn’t just arrive in a new land—
she entered a covering.

Under God’s wings
there is protection,
rest,
and belonging.

She left everything behind,
yet she lost nothing.
Instead, she was received.

And she finally said:

“You have comforted me and spoken kindly to your servant.”

What she received was not just grain,
but—

👉 a heart restored.

Sometimes what a person truly needs
is not more resources,
but a word spoken in love.

🌊 Today’s Response

Perhaps we, like Ruth,
often feel not good enough,
not worthy enough.

But God’s grace is never about our worthiness—
it is about His willingness.

Today,
you can come before Him again and say:

👉 I choose to take refuge under Your wings.

Not relying on myself,
but on Your grace alone.

🙏 Prayer

Lord,
when I feel unworthy,
let me see Your grace more clearly.

Lead me away from self‑reliance
and into Your covering.

Speak Your comforting words to me,
heal me,
and let me find true rest in You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
