This verse does not describe a “strong” person, but someone who has been refined by God and has become quiet within. The remnant are not the majority, nor the most visible—they are those who remain after the refining. They may have fallen or struggled, but in the end, they are preserved by God.

Their transformation is not outward restraint, but inward renewal: doing no wrong reflects changed choices; telling no lies reflects purified speech; having no deceit reflects a cleansed heart. This is not forced behavior, but a natural expression of a renewed life.

Then the verse turns to something very simple—eating, drinking, lying down. God is not only concerned with moments of worship; He cares whether even your most ordinary life is filled with peace. Eating without anxiety, resting without inner tension, being still without being chased by restless thoughts.
