经文：约珥书 3:19-20

【珥3:19】“埃及必然荒凉，以东变为凄凉的旷野，都因向犹大人所行的强暴，又因在本地流无辜人的血。

【珥3:20】但犹大必存到永远，耶路撒冷必存到万代。

埃及可以荒凉，以东可以成为旷野，人的强暴与不义终有一天要被神审判。神不是没有看见无辜人的血，也不是忘记受压伤的人。

但神给祂百姓的应许却不一样：“犹大必存到永远，耶路撒冷必存到万代。”这提醒我们，世界的势力会过去，人的骄傲会倒下，但神所建立的国永远长存。

今天无论环境如何动荡，我们仍可以把盼望放在神里面，因为祂是公义的主，也是永远保守祂子民的神。

祷告：

主啊，帮助我不倚靠短暂的势力，而是信靠你永恒的国。求你坚定我的心，使我在变化的世界中仍然持守盼望，因为你的国度永不动摇。阿们。

God’s Kingdom Endures Forever

Devotional Reflection – 19 June 2026

Scripture: Joel 3:19–20

Joel 3:19
“Egypt shall become a desolation and Edom a desolate wilderness, because of the violence done to the people of Judah, in whose land they have shed innocent blood.”

Joel 3:20
“But Judah shall be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem to all generations.”

Egypt may become desolate, and Edom may turn into a barren wilderness. Human violence and injustice will one day come under God’s judgment. God has not overlooked the shedding of innocent blood, nor has He forgotten those who have been oppressed and wounded.

Yet God’s promise to His people is different: “Judah shall be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem to all generations.” This reminds us that the powers of this world will pass away, human pride will fall, but the kingdom established by God will endure forever.

No matter how unstable or uncertain our circumstances may be today, we can continue to place our hope in God. He is a righteous Lord who faithfully preserves His people forever.

Prayer

Lord, help me not to rely on temporary powers or human strength, but to place my trust in Your eternal kingdom. Strengthen my heart to hold on to hope in a changing world, for Your kingdom can never be shaken. Amen.
