🌿 Title: Standing Aside

📅 Date: April 16, 2026

📖 Scripture
👉 Obadiah 1:11
“On the day you stood aloof, while strangers carried off his wealth and foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were like one of them.”

✨ Devotional
Sometimes we think we are “not involved.” We didn’t speak, didn’t act, didn’t hurt anyone—we just stood aside. But God says: you were like one of them.
When we remain silent when we should step forward, it is not neutrality. When we withdraw when we should reach out, it is not innocence. The moment we choose to stand aside, we have already taken a position.
Maybe you didn’t push someone down—but did you pull them up? Maybe you didn’t harm—but did you move closer?
God is not only concerned with what you do, but where you stand when someone falls.

🙏 Prayer
Lord, forgive me for the times I stood aside. When I should have drawn near, I chose distance; when I should have lifted others up, I remained silent. Give me a soft heart—not one that watches from afar, but one that is willing to come close, to carry, and to restore. Let me stand where You stand. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
