🌿 Title: He Is Slow to Anger, Yet Never Overlooks
📅 Date: April 19, 2026
📖 Scripture
👉 Nahum 1:3
“The Lord is slow to anger and great in power; the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of His feet.”
✨ Devotional Reflection
God is not quick to anger. He sees, yet does not act immediately; He knows, yet does not judge at once. This is not because He is weak, but because He is patient.
Many times, we mistake God’s silence for approval, assuming that if nothing happens, nothing will happen. But this verse reminds us: He is slow to anger, not unwilling to act.
He gives time not for us to continue drifting, but for us to return. His delay is not indifference—it is mercy.
Yet He also declares: “He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.” God does not call wrong right, nor does He ignore sin. His love is real, and so is His justice.
When He moves, it is not gentle—it is like a whirlwind, like a storm. What seems uncontrollable to us is, under His feet, like dust.
This reveals a true picture of God: He is gentle, yet not weak; patient, yet never compromising. You may be in a season where God seems silent, but He has not overlooked anything. He is waiting for the right time. And when He rises, everything can change.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, thank You for being slow to anger and giving me time to turn back to You. Search my heart and reveal anything I have hidden or delayed. Help me not to take Your patience as a reason to compromise. Teach me to trust You in the waiting, knowing You have not overlooked anything and that You are still in control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
