🌿 Title: Not Just Hearing Once, but Listening for a Lifetime
📅 Date: April 18, 2026
📖 Scripture
👉 Micah 1:1
“During the reigns of Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, the word of the Lord came to Micah of Moresheth…”
✨ Devotional Reflection
This verse may seem like a simple introduction, but it carries a deep truth:
👉 God does not speak just once—He keeps speaking.
Three kings, three different seasons, a long span of time. During all these years, Micah kept receiving and responding. It wasn’t a one-time revelation, but a voice formed along a journey.
We often long for one clear answer—one moment where everything becomes certain. But more often, God doesn’t reveal everything at once. Instead, He leads us step by step.
Today, He gives you a word. Tomorrow, He shows you the next step. In times of stability, He reminds you. In times of confusion, He holds you. In times of restoration, He continues to refine you.
He doesn’t hand you the whole map—He walks with you along the way.
You may wonder, “Why doesn’t God just make everything clear at once?” But when you look back, you’ll realize:
👉 He was never silent. You were simply learning to understand along the way.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, teach me not to seek just a one-time answer, but to listen to You daily. When You lead me step by step, help me not to rush or turn back. Remind me that You are not a silent God, but One who is always speaking and guiding. Let my life not be defined by one moment of hearing, but by a lifetime of listening to You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏
