Title: Strength in Weakness
Date: May 2, 2026
2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Sometimes, what we fear most is not our circumstances,
but admitting that we are not enough.
We get used to holding ourselves together,
hiding our weakness,
thinking that this is the only way we won’t fall apart.
But this verse points us in a completely different direction.
God does not begin by changing our situation.
He begins by saying,
“My grace is sufficient for you.”
Life may not necessarily become easier,
but it can become less lonely.
When we acknowledge our limitations,
it is not failure—
it is a beginning.
Because right at that very place,
God’s power starts to be revealed.
It’s not that we suddenly become stronger,
but that we no longer carry everything alone.
There is a kind of strength
that is not proven from the mountaintop,
but experienced in the low places—
held, covered, sustained.
Today, if you feel like you’re barely holding on,
you don’t need to rush to “be better.”
You can pause,
and simply admit that you need help.
And perhaps in that very moment,
you will discover—
you were never walking alone.
Prayer:
Lord, when I am weak,
help me not to hide,
but to come before You.
Let me experience that Your grace truly is enough,
and let me see how Your power is holding me up.
Amen.
