不是我们先变好,神才爱;
A Life Transformed by Love

📖 Today’s Scripture
1 John 4:18–21
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear… We love because He first loved us… Whoever loves God must also love his brother.”
✨ Devotional Reflection
Many people think spiritual maturity means knowing more, doing more, or enduring more.
But John gives a very clear measure:
Are you truly living in love?
When we genuinely experience God’s love, one thing begins to happen:
fear starts to lose its grip.
We often fear that we are not good enough,
fear that failure will make God reject us,
fear that our weakness will make Him less pleased with us.
But Scripture reminds us:
We love because He first loved us.
It is not that we become good first, and then God loves us.
It is that God loved us first, and because of that, we are able to respond.
And when someone truly experiences that love,
they do not only become bolder in drawing near to God,
they also become more able to love others.
That is why John says if someone claims to love God yet hates their brother, they are not speaking the truth.
Because loving God is not merely words spoken with the mouth,
it is love expressed through life.
How we treat the people around us often reflects how deeply we understand God’s love for us.
A person transformed by love
does not remain only in the emotion of saying, “I love God,”
but begins to live that love out.
❤️ Prayer
Father,
thank You for loving me first.
Remove fear and defensiveness from my heart.
Help me rest securely in Your love
and live that love out toward others.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
