“求你赐我智慧聪明，我好在这民前出入；不然，谁能判断这众多的民呢？”

所罗门刚登基时，没有急着建立自己的权势，也没有先为国家谋划未来。他先来到神面前，在祭坛上献上一千燔祭敬拜神。

当神向他显现，问他想求什么时，所罗门没有求财富、长寿或胜过仇敌。他求的是智慧。

为什么所罗门会这样求？

因为他知道王位是神赐的，百姓是神托付的，而自己本身并不足够。

这正是敬畏神的表现。

圣经说：“敬畏耶和华是智慧的开端。”真正的智慧，不是拥有更多知识，而是认识神，也认识自己的有限。当一个人愿意把神放在首位，承认自己需要神的时候，智慧就开始在他的生命中工作。

所罗门的智慧，不是从王宫开始，而是从祭坛开始；不是从权柄开始，而是从敬畏开始。

今天，我们也许面对许多选择和决定。与其急着寻找答案，不如先来到神面前。因为敬拜带来敬畏，敬畏带来谦卑，而谦卑的人必得着从神而来的智慧。

🙏 祷告

主啊，求祢赐我一颗敬畏祢的心。让我不倚靠自己的聪明，不凭自己的经验行事，而是在每一个决定中寻求祢的心意。愿我像所罗门一样，先来到祢面前，再面对世界。求祢赐我从上头来的智慧，使我行在祢的道路中。奉主耶稣的名祷告，阿们。

2 Chronicles 1:10

“Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this your people, that is so great?”

✨ Devotion

When Solomon first became king, he did not rush to establish his own power or begin planning the future of the nation. Instead, he came before God and worshiped Him, offering a thousand burnt offerings on the altar.

When God appeared to him and asked what he desired, Solomon did not ask for wealth, long life, or victory over his enemies. He asked for wisdom.

Why did Solomon make such a request?

Because he understood that the throne was given by God, the people were entrusted by God, and he himself was not sufficient for the task.

This is what reverence for God looks like.

Scripture says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. True wisdom is not simply having more knowledge; it is knowing God and recognizing our own limitations. When a person puts God first and acknowledges their need for Him, wisdom begins to work in their life.

Solomon’s wisdom did not begin in the palace—it began at the altar. It did not begin with authority—it began with reverence.

Today, we may face many choices and decisions. Rather than rushing to find answers, let us first come before God. Worship produces reverence, reverence produces humility, and the humble receive wisdom from above.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, grant me a heart that reveres You. Help me not to rely on my own understanding or depend on my own experience, but to seek Your will in every decision I make. May I be like Solomon, coming before You first before facing the world. Give me the wisdom that comes from above, that I may walk faithfully in Your ways. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
