【路3:3】“他就来到约旦河一带地方，宣讲悔改的洗礼，使罪得赦。”

施洗约翰来到约旦河一带，宣讲悔改的信息。约旦河不仅是一条河流，更象征着生命的转变与新的开始。许多人来到河边，承认自己的罪，愿意回转向神，预备自己的心迎接弥赛亚。

河的使命，就是流动。

一条河若停滞，就会失去活力；生命若停止回转，也容易停留在过去。悔改，不只是承认自己的过犯，更是让生命重新转向神，让神疏通我们里面的河道，使祂的恩典、平安和能力不断流进我们的生命。

然而，生命河的终点不是自己，而是使命。施洗约翰没有把人带到自己面前，而是把人带向耶稣；他的一生如同一条流动的河，完成神所托付的使命，成为预备主道路的人。

今天，神也呼召我们成为一条流动的生命河。不让神的恩典停留在自己身上，而是继续流向家庭、教会、职场和身边的人，让更多人因着我们的生命，经历神的爱与救恩。

愿我们的生命常常因悔改而更新，因顺服而流动，最终走进神所预备的使命，直到汇入祂永恒的计划之中。

祷告：

主啊，感谢你赐下新的生命。求你使我的心常常愿意悔改，除去一切拦阻生命流动的障碍。让我不仅领受你的恩典，更成为恩典的管道，把你的爱、平安和盼望带给身边的人。愿我的生命像一条不断流动的河，忠心完成你所托付的使命。奉主耶稣的名祷告，阿们。

The River of Life: From Repentance to Purpose

2 July 2026 – Devotional

Scripture:
Luke 3:3
“He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.”

John the Baptist came to the region around the Jordan River proclaiming a message of repentance. The Jordan was more than just a river—it symbolized transformation and a new beginning. Many came to its banks, confessed their sins, turned back to God, and prepared their hearts for the coming Messiah.

The mission of a river is to keep flowing.

When a river stops flowing, it becomes stagnant. Likewise, when our spiritual lives stop turning back to God, we can become stuck in the past. Repentance is more than admitting our sins; it is a change of heart that redirects our lives toward God. It allows Him to clear the channels of our hearts so that His grace, peace, and power can flow freely within us.

Yet the river of life does not end with ourselves—it flows toward God’s purpose. John the Baptist did not draw people to himself; he led them to Jesus. His life was like a flowing river, faithfully fulfilling God’s calling by preparing the way for the Lord.

Today, God calls us to be rivers that continue to flow. His grace is not meant to stop with us but to reach our families, our churches, our workplaces, and everyone around us. Through our lives, others can encounter God’s love and salvation.

May our lives be continually renewed through repentance, kept moving through obedience, and led into the purpose God has prepared for us, until we become part of His eternal plan.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for giving me new life. Help me to remain humble and willing to repent, removing anything that hinders the flow of Your life within me. May I not only receive Your grace but also become a channel through which Your love, peace, and hope flow to others. Let my life be like a river that never stops flowing, faithfully fulfilling the purpose You have entrusted to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
