【彼后1:8】
“你们若充充足足地有这几样，就必使你们在认识我们的主耶稣基督上，不至于闲懒不结果子了。”

彼得所说的“这几样”，就是信心、德行、知识、节制、忍耐、虔敬、爱弟兄和爱众人的心。

神不要我们停留在起点，而是让这些属灵品格不断增长、越来越丰富。

真正认识主，不只是知道更多圣经知识，而是生命越来越像基督。一个不断与主同行的人，自然会结出生命的果子，在言语、行为、爱心和忍耐上荣耀神。

愿我们每天都在主里面成长，不再闲懒，而是成为一棵按时候结果子的树，让人从我们的生命中看见耶稣。

祷告：

主啊，求你使我的生命不断成长，在信心和爱心上越来越丰盛，使我常常住在你里面，结出荣耀你的果子。奉主耶稣的名祷告，阿们。

The Life That Bears Fruit

July 21, 2026 – Devotional

Scripture:

2 Peter 1:8
“For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (NIV)

Peter is referring to the qualities mentioned earlier: faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, mutual affection, and love.

God does not want us to remain where we started. He desires these qualities to grow and abound in our lives.

Truly knowing Christ is not merely gaining more biblical knowledge—it is becoming more like Him. As we walk with the Lord each day, His character is formed in us, and our lives naturally bear fruit through our words, actions, love, and perseverance.

May we continue to grow in Christ, never becoming idle or unfruitful, but becoming trees that bear fruit in season, so that others may see Jesus through our lives.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to grow continually in faith and love. Fill my life with Your character so that I may remain in You and bear fruit that brings glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
