True Riches Come from Enjoying God’s Gifts

Date: October 20, 2026

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 5:19

Ecclesiastes 5:19
“When God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their portion and rejoice in their work—this is a gift from God.”

Devotional Reflection

Solomon possessed great wealth, wisdom, and glory, yet he discovered that no amount of wealth could satisfy a greedy heart.

Wealth itself is not a sin. The question is whether we make it the foundation of our lives.

Ecclesiastes reminds us that God gives us both wealth and the ability to enjoy it. True blessing is not simply about how much we possess, but about enjoying all that God has given us with a grateful heart.

Some people have much yet remain dissatisfied; others have little yet find joy in everyday life.

True riches are found in contentment rather than in accumulating more. True joy comes from knowing the God who blesses us, regardless of how much we have.

Today’s Reflection

Are we so busy pursuing more that we forget to give thanks for what we already have?

May we work diligently without becoming enslaved to wealth, and enjoy our blessings while remembering the Lord who gives them.

Money can provide for our needs, but it should never become the master of our lives.
