【王下4:2】

“以利沙问她说：‘我可以为你作什么呢？你告诉我，你家里有什么？’她说：‘婢女家中除了一瓶油之外，没有什么。’”

这位先知门徒的妻子失去了丈夫，又背负债务，两个儿子甚至快要被债主带去作奴仆。在人看来，她已经走到了绝路。

但以利沙没有先问她缺少什么，而是问：“你家里有什么？”

妇人回答：“除了一瓶油之外，没有什么。”

她看见的是“只有一瓶油”，神看见的却是神迹的开始。

很多时候，我们也常觉得自己所拥有的太少：只有一点能力，只有一点时间，只有一点资源，只有一点信心。

然而神常常从那一点点开始工作。

当妇人凭信心借来许多空器皿，并照着神人的话倒油时，油不断流出，直到所有器皿都装满。最后，她不但有足够的钱还清债务，也有余剩维持生活。

神的供应往往不是从我们的丰富开始，而是从我们的顺服开始。

神今天也在问我们：“你家里有什么？”

也许你觉得自己拥有的不多，但当愿意交在神手中时，祂能使微小变为丰盛，使有限成为祝福。

祷告：

天父，帮助我不要只看见自己的缺乏，而是看见祢的丰富。赐给我信心，把手中仅有的交给祢，并愿意顺服祢的带领。求祢使用我所拥有的一切，成为祢祝福他人的器皿。奉主耶稣的名祷告，阿们。

The Miracle of the Jar of Oil

2 Kings 4:2

“Elisha replied to her, ‘How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?’ She said, ‘Your servant has nothing there at all except a small jar of olive oil.’”

The wife of one of the prophets had lost her husband and was burdened with debt. Her two sons were about to be taken away by creditors as slaves. From a human perspective, she had reached the end of the road.

Yet Elisha did not first ask what she lacked. Instead, he asked, “What do you have in your house?”

She answered, “Nothing at all except a small jar of oil.”

She saw “only a jar of oil,” but God saw the beginning of a miracle.

Many times, we also feel that what we have is too little: a little strength, a little time, a few resources, or even a small measure of faith.

Yet God often begins His work with what seems small.

As the widow obeyed and borrowed many empty jars, pouring out the oil according to Elisha’s instruction, the oil kept flowing until every jar was full. In the end, she not only had enough to pay off her debt, but also enough left over to provide for her family.

God’s provision often begins not with our abundance, but with our obedience.

Today, God asks us the same question:

“What do you have in your house?”

You may feel that you have very little, but when you place it in God’s hands, He can turn the small into abundance and the limited into a blessing.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me not to focus on what I lack, but on Your abundance. Give me faith to place what little I have into Your hands and the willingness to obey Your leading. Use all that I have for Your glory and make me a vessel of blessing to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
