以斯帖进入王宫之前，必须经过十二个月的洁净与预备。前六个月用没药油，后六个月用香料，直到日期满足，才能进入王的面前。
这段预备过程，也让我们看见一幅属灵生命成长的图画。
没药象征破碎与洁净，香料提醒我们生命的馨香。 神不仅要带领我们进入新的季节，更要先预备我们的生命，使我们能够承载祂所托付的使命。
有时候，我们渴望迅速进入神的应许，却忽略了预备的重要。神所看重的不只是我们将要到达的位置，更是我们在等候中被塑造的生命。
以斯帖经过预备成为王后，后来更在民族危难之际，勇敢站出来回应神的托付。正如末底改所说：“焉知你得了王后的位分，不是为现今的机会吗？”（斯4:14）
先有生命的预备，后有使命的承担；先经历洁净与塑造，后流露基督的馨香。
今日默想
不要轻看神正在带领我们经历的预备季节。每一次洁净、修剪与等候，都可能成为生命成熟的过程。
神预备的不只是一个位置，而是一个能够承载祂荣耀与使命的生命。
First Cleansing, Then Fragrance — Preparation for God’s Purpose

Scripture: Esther 2:12
“Before a young woman’s turn came to go in to King Xerxes, she had to complete twelve months of beauty treatments prescribed for the women, six months with oil of myrrh and six with perfumes and cosmetics.”
Devotional Reflection
Before Esther entered the royal palace, she had to undergo twelve months of cleansing and preparation. The first six months involved oil of myrrh, followed by six months of perfumes and beauty treatments. Only when the appointed time was fulfilled could she enter the king’s presence.
This process of preparation also presents a beautiful spiritual picture of our growth in God.
Myrrh reminds us of brokenness and purification, while perfume speaks of the fragrance of a transformed life. God does not merely want to bring us into a new season; He first prepares our hearts so that we can carry the purpose He has entrusted to us.
Sometimes, we are eager to enter God’s promises, yet we overlook the importance of preparation. God is concerned not only with where we are going, but also with who we are becoming during the waiting.
After her preparation, Esther became queen. Later, when her people faced destruction, she courageously stepped forward to fulfill her calling. As Mordecai declared:
“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14)
First comes the preparation of our lives, then the fulfillment of our calling. First comes cleansing and transformation, then the fragrance of Christ is released through us.
Today’s Reflection
Do not underestimate the season of preparation God is leading you through. Every moment of cleansing, pruning, and waiting can become part of His work in bringing us to spiritual maturity.
God is preparing not merely a position for us, but a life capable of carrying His glory and fulfilling His purpose.
