In John 8:1–11, the Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery to Jesus, hoping to trap Him between the law and mercy:
• If He said, “Don’t stone her,” He would appear to oppose the Law of Moses.
• If He said, “Stone her,” He would contradict His message of compassion and risk violating Roman law (which denied Jews the right to carry out executions).

Rather than answering directly, Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger—twice. Then He said:

“Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”

1️⃣ The Finger of God Represents Authority and Judgment
• Exodus 31:18 – God wrote the Ten Commandments with His finger.
• Daniel 5:24 – “Therefore he sent the hand that wrote the inscription.”
→ God wrote judgment against King Belshazzar: “Mene, Mene, Tekel, Parsin”
