Title: Moving Forward in Alignment, So Our Running Is Not in Vain
Date: May 3, 2026

【Galatians 2:2】I went up in response to a revelation and set before them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. But I did this privately to those who seemed to be influential, for fear that I was running or had run my race in vain.

Sometimes we think that as long as our direction is right and our passion is strong, we can just keep pushing forward. But Paul shows us that the spiritual journey is not only about “running fast,” but about “running right.”
He did not act on his own initiative, but went in response to revelation. He did not insist on his own way, but was willing to share and align. He did not doubt his calling, but cared deeply whether he was in step with God’s heart and in unity with others.

“Fearing that I was running in vain” is not uncertainty—it is reverence. It is a heart that does not want its efforts to fall into division, nor its zeal to lose direction. True maturity is not about how far I go on my own, but whether I am walking in God’s will and in unity with others.

Today, you may already be running. But what matters to God is not how long you have run, but whether you are aligned with His heart and walking in the light with others. It’s okay to slow down—confirming the direction is more important than speeding ahead.

Prayer: Lord, give me a soft and teachable heart. Help me not only to run with passion, but also to be willing to be adjusted and led by You. Keep me from clinging to my own ways, and lead me into Your will. Teach me humility in relationships and help me walk forward in unity. May every step I take not be in vain, but truly fruitful in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
