今天祂仍然信实;
现在祂仍然带领;
I AM — The Unchanging God Who Walks with Me
2 October 2026 | Exodus 3:14
God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
Devotional
When God called Moses to return to Egypt, Moses could only see his own inadequacy.
He had experienced failure and fled from Egypt. Now he was being sent back to face the powerful Pharaoh. Moses asked God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?”
God did not spend much time telling Moses who Moses was. Instead, He revealed who He is.
God said, “I AM WHO I AM.”
His existence does not depend on circumstances, nor is He limited by time. He was God in the past, He is God today, and He will always be God.
This was crucial for Moses to understand.
God was not asking Moses to accomplish the mission through his own strength. He wanted Moses to know that what ultimately determines whether the mission can be fulfilled is not how strong Moses is, but who the God who sends him is.
We are often like Moses.
When facing a new path, we ask:
“Can I do this?”
“Am I capable enough?”
“What if I fail?”
“What will happen in the future?”
But God turns our eyes away from “Who am I?” and toward “Who is He?”
Circumstances change.
Our abilities change.
What we have today may be gone tomorrow.
But God still says:
“I AM.”
He was faithful yesterday,
and He is faithful today.
He guided us in the past,
and He is still guiding us now.
The future has not yet arrived for us,
but He is already there.
True faith, therefore, is not believing that we ourselves can accomplish everything. It is trusting that the God who says “I AM” will walk with us.
Today’s Reflection
When I keep asking, “Can I do it?” God reminds me to first ask, “Who is the One who sends me?”
My confidence is not in how strong I am, but in this truth:
He was, He is, and He always will be.
He is “I AM,” and He walks with me.
