“你们是世上的光。城造在山上，是不能隐藏的。”
灵修
耶稣对门徒说：“你们是世上的光。”这既是祂赐给我们的身份，也是祂托付给我们的使命。我们能够发光，是因为先领受了基督的光；当我们亲近祂、遵行祂的话，祂的爱与真实就渐渐显明在我们的生活中。
“城造在山上，是不能隐藏的。”信仰虽然扎根于内心，却会在日常选择中被人看见。在冲突中愿意温柔回应，在利益面前坚持诚实，在别人有需要时主动关怀，这些看似平凡的行动，都能成为照亮人的光。
光的作用，是让人看清前面的路，也带来温暖与盼望。主将我们放在家庭、教会和人群中，让我们有机会以生命见证祂。即使一句鼓励、一次陪伴、一个饶恕的决定，也可能帮助某个人重新看见盼望。
接着，耶稣在第16节说明，照在人前的好行为，是要使人将荣耀归给天父。愿我们珍惜每一个行善的机会，让人透过我们的生命，认识那位爱他们的主。
今日默想
今天，在我身边，有谁需要一份关怀或鼓励？我可以采取什么具体行动，让他感受到基督的爱？
祷告
亲爱的天父，感谢祢借着耶稣照亮我的生命，也呼召我成为世上的光。求祢帮助我，在言语中有恩慈，在选择上有诚实，在行动中有爱。让我在平凡的生活里忠心见证祢，使人因着我的生命看见祢的美善，将荣耀归给祢。奉主耶稣基督的名祷告，阿们。
Let the Lord’s Light Shine Before Others

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Devotion
Jesus tells His disciples, “You are the light of the world.” These words express both the identity He gives us and the mission He entrusts to us. We can shine because we have first received the light of Christ. As we draw near to Him and obey His Word, His love and truth gradually become visible in our lives.
“A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Although faith takes root within our hearts, it becomes visible through our daily choices. Responding gently in conflict, remaining honest when personal interests are at stake, and reaching out to someone in need—these seemingly ordinary actions can bring light to others.
Light helps people see the path ahead and brings warmth and hope. The Lord places us in our families, churches, and communities so that our lives can bear witness to Him. Even a word of encouragement, a moment of companionship, or a decision to forgive may help someone find hope again.
In verse 16, Jesus explains that our good deeds should lead others to glorify our Father in heaven. May we treasure every opportunity to do good, allowing others to encounter the Lord who loves them through the way we live.
Today’s Reflection
Who around me needs care or encouragement today? What practical step can I take to help that person experience the love of Christ?
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing light into my life through Jesus and calling me to be the light of the world. Help me to speak with kindness, make honest choices, and act with love. May I faithfully bear witness to You in everyday life, so that others may see Your goodness through me and give glory to You. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
