Seen by Grace

Scripture:
Zephaniah 3:17
“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” (NIV)
The first half of the book of Zephaniah is filled with messages of judgment. Yet by the end of the book, God does not leave His people in judgment—He brings them back into His grace.
Many times, we are afraid of being seen by God because we think our weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings will be exposed.
But God’s gaze is not meant to condemn—it is meant to save.
He sees our tears, and He sees our struggles. He knows our past, and He also knows the future He has prepared for us.
Perhaps the most moving part of this passage is that it does not simply say God tolerates us. Instead, it tells us:
He delights in us, loves us quietly and deeply, and rejoices over us with singing.
This is the heart of a loving Father looking upon His children—not with cold judgment, but with gracious acceptance.
When we know we are seen by grace, we no longer need to prove our worth through performance, nor do we need to hide behind our failures.
Because what truly transforms a person is not fear—it is grace.
Reflection
Today, are you living under the eyes of people, or under the gracious gaze of God?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for seeing the real me and still loving me. Help me to stop hiding and stop trying to prove my worth through my own efforts. May I find my rest in Your grace and live a life that delights Your heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
