《俄巴底亚书》是旧约最短的一卷书，只有一章，共21节。先知俄巴底亚的生平也鲜为人知。然而，这位看似不起眼的先知，却领受了重大的使命：向以东宣告神的审判，责备他们的骄傲和对弟兄的强暴，也向神的子民传递复兴的盼望。
以东倚靠山岩高处，自以为稳固；俄巴底亚却宣告，真正掌权的是耶和华。全书从领受神的默示开始，以“国度就归耶和华了”结束。他留下的篇幅虽短，所传的信息却关乎神的公义与国度。
我们有时也会觉得自己平凡，能力有限，所做的事无人留意。但神的托付，不以人的名气来衡量。在家庭中守望、在小组中服事、陪伴一个受伤的人、向一个人分享福音，都值得我们忠心以待。
书卷虽小，使命却大；人虽不显眼，托付却有分量。 愿我们不轻看自己的位置，也不轻看神今天交在手中的事。
今日默想
我是否因为觉得自己微小，就轻看了神的托付？今天，我可以在哪一件事上忠心回应祂？
祷告
主啊，感谢祢使用平凡的人，承载祢的心意。求祢除去我的自卑与骄傲，使我不追求被人看见，却认真回应祢的托付。愿我在每天的小事上忠心，让人借着我的生命认识祢。奉主耶稣的名祷告，阿们。
A Little-Known Prophet, a Great Mission

Devotion
Obadiah is the shortest book in the Old Testament, with just one chapter and 21 verses. Little is known about the prophet himself. Yet this seemingly insignificant man received a great mission: to proclaim God’s judgment against Edom, confront their pride and violence against their own relatives, and bring God’s people hope of restoration.
Edom relied on its mountain strongholds and believed itself secure. But Obadiah declared that the Lord was the One who truly ruled. The book begins with a revelation from God and ends with the words, “And the kingdom will be the Lord’s.” Though brief, its message concerns God’s justice and His kingdom.
Sometimes we, too, feel ordinary, limited in ability, and unnoticed in what we do. But God does not measure His calling by our fame. Praying faithfully for our families, serving in our small group, walking alongside someone who is hurting, and sharing the gospel with one person are all responsibilities worthy of our faithfulness.
The book may be small, but the mission is great. A person may be little known, yet carry a weighty calling. May we value the place God has given us and the work He has entrusted to us today.
Today’s Reflection
Have I dismissed God’s calling because I feel insignificant? What is one thing I can faithfully do today in response to Him?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for using ordinary people to carry out Your purposes. Free me from both feelings of inadequacy and pride. Help me to respond faithfully to what You entrust to me, without seeking recognition. May I be faithful in the small things each day, so that others may come to know You through my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
