经文｜彼得前书 2:25；5:2–4
「你们从前好像迷路的羊，如今却归到你们灵魂的牧人监督了。」
——彼得前书 2:25
「务要牧养在你们中间神的群羊……不是因为贪财，乃是出于乐意；也不是辖制所托付你们的，乃是作群羊的榜样。」
——彼得前书 5:2–3
「到了牧长显现的时候，你们必得那永不衰残的荣耀冠冕。」
——彼得前书 5:4
灵修内容
梦中，我在电梯里面，亲手写下：
「牧养我的羊。」
醒来后，我一直思想：为什么是在电梯里？
电梯会上，也会下，在不同楼层之间运行，把人从一个地方带到另一个地方。这让我联想到雅各梦中天梯「上与下」的画面。
这也成为一个属灵的提醒：
向上，归向大牧人；
向下，来到群羊中间。
彼得说，我们从前像迷路的羊，如今却归到「灵魂的牧人监督」那里。
所以，在牧养别人以前，我自己首先也是一只需要被牧养的羊。
我要先来到大牧人面前，领受祂的心和带领，然后才来到人群中间，牧养祂所托付的羊。
向上领受，向下服事；
向上亲近主，向下牧养人。
梦中我写的是「牧养我的羊」，而彼得却提醒：
「务要牧养……神的群羊。」
这让我看见一个重要的界线：
羊不是我的，羊是神的。
我只是受托的人。
因此，牧养不是把人带到自己面前，也不是满足自己的私欲、地位或被需要的感觉。
彼得特别提醒：
「不是辖制……乃是作群羊的榜样。」
真正的牧养，不是控制人，而是用生命影响人；不是使人越来越依赖自己，而是帮助人越来越依靠主。
电梯本身也不是目的地，它只是把人带到该去的地方。
同样，牧养的人也不是终点。
我们只是器皿，大牧人才是终点。
如果神使位置升高，不是为了高举自己，而是为了更大的托付；若神让我们下来，也是为了进入人群，谦卑服事。
位置可以上与下，
牧养的心却不能改变。
最后彼得说：
「到了牧长显现的时候……」
真正的牧长只有一位。
所以这个梦给我的提醒是：
向上，归向大牧人；
向下，牧养祂的羊；
最终，把人带回大牧人面前。
今日默想
我是否不断回到大牧人面前，让祂先牧养我？
当神把人托付给我，我是在建立自己，还是把人带向祂？
愿我记得：
羊是祂的，
我只是受托的人；
我自己也是羊，
祂才是牧长。
向上，从大牧人领受；
向下，到群羊中服事；
最终，把人带回大牧人面前。
Shepherd My Sheep — Leading People to the Chief Shepherd

“For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.”

“Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care… not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.”
— 1 Peter 5:2–3
“And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.”
— 1 Peter 5:4
Devotional
In my dream, I was inside an elevator, and I personally wrote these words:
“Shepherd my sheep.”
After waking up, I kept wondering: Why was I in an elevator?
An elevator goes up and down, moving between different levels and carrying people from one place to another. It reminded me of Jacob’s dream of the ladder, with movement between above and below.
This became a spiritual picture for me:
Upward — return to the Chief Shepherd.
Downward — go among His flock.
Peter says that we were once like sheep going astray, but now we have returned to the “Shepherd and Overseer of our souls.”
Before I can shepherd others, I must remember that I too am a sheep who needs to be shepherded.
I must first come to the Chief Shepherd to receive His heart and His leading, and then go among the people to care for those He has entrusted to me.
Upward to receive, downward to serve;
upward to draw near to the Lord, downward to shepherd His people.
In the dream, I wrote, “Shepherd my sheep.” Yet Peter reminds us:
“Be shepherds of God’s flock.”
This shows me an important boundary:
The sheep are not mine. They belong to God.
I am only a steward entrusted with their care.
Shepherding, therefore, is not about drawing people to myself, nor is it about satisfying my own desires, position, or need to feel important.
Peter specifically warns:
“Not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.”
True shepherding is not about controlling people, but influencing them through the example of our lives. It is not about making people increasingly dependent on us, but helping them increasingly depend on the Lord.
An elevator is not the destination. It simply carries people to where they need to go.
In the same way, a shepherd is not the final destination.
We are only vessels; the Chief Shepherd is the destination.
If God raises our position, it is not for self-exaltation, but for greater responsibility. If He brings us down, it may be so that we can enter among the people and serve with humility.
Our position may go up or down,
but the heart of a shepherd must remain unchanged.
Finally, Peter says:
“And when the Chief Shepherd appears…”
There is only one true Chief Shepherd.
So this dream leaves me with this reminder:
Upward — return to the Chief Shepherd.
Downward — shepherd His sheep.
Ultimately — lead people back to the Chief Shepherd.
Today’s Reflection
Am I continually returning to the Chief Shepherd and allowing Him to shepherd me first?
When God entrusts people to my care, am I building myself, or am I leading them toward Him?
May I always remember:
The sheep are His.
I am only a steward.
I too am a sheep.
He alone is the Chief Shepherd.
Upward — receive from the Chief Shepherd.
Downward — serve among His flock.
Ultimately — lead people back to the Chief Shepherd.
