灵修内容
《约翰二书》不断把我们带回一个重要的词：
起初。
生命会进入新的季节，服事会有新的托付，神也会不断带领我们向前；但进入新的季节，并不意味着离开起初所领受的根基。
这就好比建造一栋高楼。
楼层可以不断加高，设计可以不断更新，用途也可能随着时间改变；然而，楼盖得越高，就越显出最初根基的重要。
没有人因为已经建到二十楼，就认为地基不再重要。恰恰相反，建得越高，对根基的要求就越高。
这也让我想到我们最近的挖井祷告行走。
我们挖井祷告，不是要再立一个新的根基，而是回到神已经立下的根基——重新挖掘那些被掩埋的，使活水再次涌流。
同样，属灵的更新不是另立根基，也不是在基督之外寻找新的东西。有时候，更新反而是回转、重新挖掘，再次找回神从起初所设立的。
我们的经历会增加，服事会扩展，托付会更新；但无论进入什么季节，我们始终要回到那「从起初所听见的」——基督、真理，以及爱神爱人的命令。
约翰郑重提醒我们：
「凡越过基督的教训、不常守着的，就没有神。」
属灵成长，不是在基督之外不断寻找更新鲜、更特别的事物；真正的成长，是越往前走，越深深扎根在基督里。
因此，当神带领我们进入新的季节时，我们不仅要问：
「主啊，祢下一步要我做什么？」
也要问：
「我今天所建造的一切，是否仍然建立在起初所领受的根基上？」
今日默想
新的楼层，不需要新的地基；
新的托付，不需要新的真理；
重新挖井，也不是另立新的根基。
我们重新挖掘，
是为了找回神已经设立的，
让活水再次涌流。
神可以带领我们进入新的季节，
但我们的根基始终不变——基督。
走得越远，越要记得起初；
建得越高，越要扎根更深；
挖得越深，让活水再次涌流。
In a New Season, Hold Fast to the Truth from the Beginning

Devotional
Second John repeatedly brings us back to one important phrase:
From the beginning.
Life moves into new seasons. Ministry brings new assignments, and God continues to lead us forward. Yet entering a new season does not mean leaving behind the foundation we received from the beginning.
It is like constructing a high-rise building.
More floors can be added, designs can be renewed, and the purpose of the building may change over time. Yet the higher the building rises, the more important its original foundation becomes.
No one reaches the twentieth floor and decides that the foundation is no longer important. On the contrary, the higher we build, the stronger the foundation must be.
This also reminds us of our recent well-digging prayer walk.
We did not dig the well to lay a new foundation. We dug to return to what God had already established — uncovering what had been buried so that the living water could flow again.
In the same way, spiritual renewal is not about laying another foundation or searching for something beyond Christ. Sometimes renewal means returning, digging again, and rediscovering what God established from the beginning.
Our experiences may increase, our ministry may expand, and our assignments may change. Yet whatever season we enter, we must always return to what we have heard “from the beginning” — Christ, His truth, and His command to love God and one another.
John gives us this serious reminder:
“Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God.”
Spiritual growth is not about continually searching for something newer or more extraordinary outside of Christ. True growth means that the further we go, the more deeply rooted we become in Christ.
Therefore, when God leads us into a new season, we should not only ask:
“Lord, what do You want me to do next?”
We should also ask:
“Is everything I am building today still established upon the foundation I received from the beginning?”
Today’s Reflection
A new floor does not require a new foundation.
A new assignment does not require a new truth.
Digging the well again does not mean laying a new foundation.
We dig again to rediscover what God has already established,
so that the living water may flow again.
God may lead us into a new season,
but our foundation remains unchanged — Christ.
The further we go, the more we remember the beginning;
the higher we build, the deeper our roots must go;
the deeper we dig, the more freely the living water flows.
