我们的祷告行走让我们联想到住棚节期间的奠水礼，彰显上帝的供应和赐生命的水。在约翰福音7:37–38中，耶稣成全了这一意象：
“人若渴了，可以到我这里来喝。信我的人，就如经上所说：从他腹中要流出活水的江河来。”
我们从安祥山（Ann Siang Hill，安祥山）开始。这个名字传达出平安与宁静的含义。一口建于十九世纪的古井，至今仍见证着这片地区的历史。当我们象征性地挖掘这口古井时，便祷告求上帝重新开启那些被遗忘的井，使祂的活水再次涌流。安祥山成为井旁的平安的图画：在宁静中，我们更能察觉上帝的同在。
在直落亚逸卫理公会华人教会，其名称意为“水湾”，我们再次遇见水所承载的重要意义。一枚于1924年放置的时间胶囊，在修复工程期间被重新发现，里面有一本中文圣经、诗歌本和教会记录。这份历史遗产提醒我们，要重新发现属灵的根基，领受上一代所留下的产业，并忠心地传承给下一代。
在市区重建局（URA），我们为上帝对新加坡的旨意以及塑造国家未来所涉及的责任祷告。箴言第8章不仅提醒我们智慧、分辨力和公义领导的重要，也将我们指向生命的泉源和智慧的源头。正如箴言8:34–35所说：
“听从我、日日在我门口仰望、在我门框旁边等候的，那人便为有福。因为寻得我的，就寻得生命，也必蒙耶和华的恩惠。”
这泉源提醒我们，真正的智慧和生命都从上帝而来。我们为领袖和规划者祷告，求他们以智慧、管家职分和公义来治理——保护水资源、维护环境、坚固社区，并促进下一代的福祉。
我们祷告，愿新加坡不只是把水看作一种资源，也看作上帝所赐的礼物，因此以感恩的心领受，并负责任地管理和守护。之后喝下的一杯泉水，使我们再次想起上帝的供应，也指向耶稣在约翰福音第7章中的邀请：凡口渴的人都可以到祂那里来，领受活水。
我们最后来到公积金局麦士威（CPF Maxwell）。Maxwell这个名字与“Maccus’s Well”（马库斯之井）有关，使我们的旅程从安祥山的古井走到另一个与井有关的名字，形成完整的呼应。水既是受造的礼物，也是指向创造主的记号。耶利米书29:11提醒我们：
“耶和华说：我知道我向你们所怀的意念，是赐平安的意念，不是降灾祸的意念，要叫你们末后有指望。”
耶利米书29:12–13给了我们一个简单的呼召：
C — 呼求（Call）
P — 祷告（Pray）
F — 寻见（Find）
“你们要呼求我，祷告我……你们寻求我，若专心寻求我，就必寻见。”
我们的旅程勾勒出一条富有意义的路径：
安祥山——平安、宁静与古井

愿我们尊重水作为上帝所赐的礼物，忠心地照料大地，并以渴慕的心来到耶稣面前。愿我们寻求从上帝而来的智慧，深深饮于祂的生命泉源，并让祂的活水借着我们流出，为他人带来生命、更新与祝福。
Prayer Walk Summary — Living Water and God’s Purposes

Our prayer walk reflected the Water Libation during the Feast of Tabernacles, highlighting God’s provision and life-giving water. In John 7:37–38, Jesus fulfils this imagery:
“Let anyone who is thirsty come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
We began at Ann Siang Hill (安祥山), whose name conveys peace and serenity. An old nineteenth-century well remains a witness to the area’s history. As we symbolically dug the ancient well, we prayed for forgotten wells to be reopened and for God’s living water to flow again. Ann Siang became a picture of peace at the well, where stillness helps us recognise God’s presence.
At Telok Ayer Chinese Methodist Church, meaning “Water Bay,” we encountered another reminder of water’s significance. A time capsule placed in 1924 was rediscovered during restoration, containing a Chinese Bible, hymn book and church records. This heritage reminded us to rediscover our spiritual foundations, receive the inheritance of previous generations and faithfully pass it on to the next generation.
At URA, we prayed concerning God’s purposes for Singapore and the responsibilities involved in shaping the nation’s future. Proverbs 8 not only reminds us of the value of wisdom, discernment and righteous leadership, but also points us to the fountain of life and the source of wisdom. As Proverbs 8:34–35 says:
“Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting beside my doors. For whoever finds me finds life and receives favour from the LORD.”
This fountain reminds us that true wisdom and life flow from God. We prayed for leaders and planners to exercise wisdom, stewardship and justice—protecting water, sustaining the environment, strengthening communities and promoting the well-being of future generations.
We prayed that Singapore would see water not merely as a resource, but as God’s gift, calling for gratitude and responsible stewardship. A drink of spring water afterwards reminded us of God’s provision and pointed us to Jesus’ invitation in John 7: those who are thirsty may come to Him and receive living water.
We concluded at CPF Maxwell. The name Maxwell is linked to “Maccus’s Well,” bringing us full circle from Ann Siang’s ancient well to another name associated with a well. Water is both a created gift and a sign pointing to the Creator. Jeremiah 29:11 reminded us:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:12–13 gave us a simple call:
C — Call
P — Pray
F — Find
“You will call on Me and come and pray to Me… You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”
