The Stone Cut Without Hands — God’s Kingdom Endures Forever
Date: October 26, 2026
Today’s Scripture | Daniel 2:34–35
“You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces… And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.” (NKJV)
Devotional Reflection
King Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of a great statue with a head of gold, a chest of silver, a belly of bronze, and legs of iron, representing different earthly kingdoms and powers.
Yet in the dream, a remarkable stone appeared. It was not cut by human hands, but it struck the statue and shattered it completely. Then the stone became a great mountain that filled the whole earth.
This stone represents the kingdom established by God—not through human plans, strength, or authority, but through God’s own power.
Earthly kingdoms rise and fall. Human achievements come and go. But God’s kingdom endures forever.
From a Christian perspective, this stone also points us to Jesus Christ—the Savior who was rejected by men but became the chief cornerstone.
Sometimes, we witness events unfolding at remarkable moments. Different people, places, and circumstances seem to come together in unexpected ways, as though everything is unfolding according to God’s divine arrangement.
Yet what truly matters is not the coincidences themselves, but whether these experiences lead us to know Christ more deeply, obey His truth, and participate in the work of His kingdom.
The stone that initially appeared small eventually became a mountain that filled the whole earth.
God’s work often unfolds in the same way. From a small beginning and a heart willing to obey, He can accomplish purposes far beyond anything we could imagine.
Today’s Reflection
Do not underestimate the small beginnings God has placed in your life, and do not focus only on seeking extraordinary signs and confirmations.
What truly matters is recognizing the God who governs times and seasons, reveals mysteries, and establishes His everlasting kingdom.
What human hands build will eventually pass away, but what God establishes will endure forever.
