神洁净我们,使我们脱离污秽;
神赐下新心,使我们的里面被更新;
隐藏的污秽,要清除;
已经死去的旧人,不再喂养;
曾经离开的餐馆,不再回去;

📖 Scripture
“I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh, so that they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.”
— Ezekiel 11:19–20
“I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean… I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.”
— Ezekiel 36:25–26

✦ The Dream
In the dream, I was at home and saw some cockroaches. They were very good at hiding, staying in dark, dirty places where they were not easily noticed.
I picked up an insect spray and kept spraying toward where they were hiding, trying to eliminate them completely.
Then I saw a very large lobster crawling on the ground. Strangely, it could even speak. I knew it was not something good, so I also used the spray against it.
The scene suddenly shifted to a restaurant.
A waiter brought out a plate of sushi, saying it was made from the large lobster that had just been killed. I took a small bite and thought it tasted “good.”
Unexpectedly, the lobster that had already been killed seemed to come back to life, even transforming into a “person” standing beside the waiter.
They pressured me—both gently and forcefully—to stay in the restaurant and keep eating, because as long as I continued eating, they could charge me a “service fee.”
⸻
✦ The Message in the Dream
This dream reminded me that things that have already been removed can return in another form to attract us again.
The cockroaches hiding in dark, dirty places represent hidden impurities, old habits, and old thoughts in our lives—things not easily seen.
Using insect spray to attack their hiding places reminds me: we must not allow these things to remain hidden, but let God’s Word enter every corner of our lives to renew and cleanse our thoughts and hearts.
The speaking lobster made me think of our “old self.”
The old self is not only past actions, but also old patterns of thinking, desires, habits, and memories. It can even “speak” to us, saying:
“Just a little is fine.”
“It used to be like this anyway.”
“Try it again.”
“It actually tastes good.”
What is most sobering is this: I only took a small bite, and the lobster seemed to come back to life.
Some things that have already been overcome do not need to be tasted again. Some temptations that have already been defeated do not need to be tested again.
Do not feed the old self, and the “lobster” will not come back to life.
⸻
✦ The “Service Fee” of the Old Life
The restaurant in the dream is also meaningful.
They wanted me to stay and keep eating so they could charge a “service fee.”
This reminds me that sin and the old life are never free.
What seems like “just one bite” can eventually lead to a cost.
But in Christ, we are already new creations. We do not need to sit at the table of the old life anymore, nor do we need to keep paying for past ways of living.
We can stand up and leave that restaurant.
Not negotiating with the old self, but refusing to give it a place.
⸻
✦ Cleansing and Receiving a New Heart
Ezekiel 11 gives a clear message behind this dream:
“They will remove from it all its vile images and detestable idols.”
— Ezekiel 11:18
Then God says:
“I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.”
— Ezekiel 11:19
God does not only want to remove the old—He also wants to give us the new.
Ezekiel 36 repeats the same promise:
Cleansing — New heart — New spirit — Obedience — Abundance
God cleanses us from impurity;
He gives us a new heart to renew us within;
He places His Spirit in us so we can walk in His will.
So new life is not about struggling to suppress the old self by our own strength, but about continually allowing God’s Word and Spirit to renew us from within.
⸻
✦ Do Not Let the Lobster Come Back to Life
The message of this dream is simple:
Remove hidden impurities;
Do not feed what has already died;
Do not return to the old table;
Live out the new life you have received.
Do not give the old life another chance just because “one small bite” seems harmless.
God has already given us a new heart and a new spirit, and the strength to walk a new path.
Let the old self remain in the past, and let the new self live today.
⸻
🙏 Prayer
Lord, we choose to live in the new life You have given us.
Through Your Word and Your Spirit, continually cleanse our lives. Shine Your light into every hidden place of impurity, old thoughts, and old habits.
We refuse to give the enemy any foothold, and we will no longer feed the old life that has already been put away. Guard our hearts so that we do not return to old paths because of a small temptation.
Thank You for giving us a new heart and a new spirit, empowering us to obey Your will.
Let the old self remain in the past, and let the new self grow each day. May our lives be cleansed, renewed, and bear abundant fruit for You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
