耶利米哀歌 3:22-23

“我们不至消灭，是出于耶和华诸般的慈爱；是因他的怜悯不至断绝。每早晨这都是新的；你的诚实极其广大。”

《耶利米哀歌》有一个特别的结构。前四章几乎都是按照希伯来字母顺序写成的离合诗（Acrostic），从第一个字母 Aleph（א）到最后一个字母 Tav（ת），就像我们小时候学习 ABC 一样。

一般人读《耶利米哀歌》时，看到的是眼泪、毁灭和失落；然而从另一个角度看，它也像一本属灵的课本，带领神的百姓重新学习认识神的恩典。

耶路撒冷被毁，圣殿被毁，百姓被掳。他们失去了曾经倚靠的一切。然而，就在这样的破碎中，神带领他们重新学习最重要的功课——认识祂自己。

就像孩子学习 ABC，不是为了背诵字母，而是为了将来能够读懂整本书；同样，神也借着人生的经历，一步一步教导我们认识祂的慈爱、怜悯和信实。

有时候，我们学的是信靠；
有时候，我们学的是顺服；
有时候，我们学的是忍耐；
有时候，我们学的是等候。

每一个经历，都像一个属灵的字母。

而在整卷《耶利米哀歌》的中心，出现了最重要的一课：

“我们不至消灭，是出于耶和华诸般的慈爱；是因他的怜悯不至断绝。每早晨这都是新的；你的诚实极其广大。”

原来，神不是只在顺境中教导我们认识祂。很多时候，正是在失落、困惑和等待中，我们才更深经历祂的恩典。

从 Aleph 到 Tav，从开始到结束，从人生的高山到低谷，神都在教导我们认识祂。

主啊，感谢你是那位乐意启示自己的神。无论我正处在人生的哪一个阶段，求你帮助我在每一个经历中学习认识你的慈爱、怜悯和信实。愿我像孩子学习字母一样，谦卑地学习你的道路，直到有一天能够更深读懂你在我生命中的作为。奉主名祷告，阿们。🙏

Lamentations 3:22–23
“It is because of the Lord’s great love that we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”

The book of Lamentations has a unique structure. The first four chapters are written as acrostic poems, following the sequence of the Hebrew alphabet—from the first letter Aleph (א) to the last letter Tav (ת), much like how we learned our ABCs as children.

Most people reading Lamentations see tears, destruction, and loss. Yet from another angle, it is also a spiritual textbook—one that leads God’s people to relearn the grace of God.

Jerusalem was destroyed.
The temple was destroyed.
The people were taken into exile.

Everything they once relied on was gone.
And in that very brokenness, God led them to relearn the most important lesson—
to know Him.

Just as children learn the alphabet not merely to recite letters but to one day read entire books, God also uses the experiences of life to teach us, step by step, His love, His mercy, and His faithfulness.

Sometimes we learn trust.
Sometimes we learn obedience.
Sometimes we learn patience.
Sometimes we learn waiting.

Every experience becomes a spiritual letter in the alphabet.

And at the very center of Lamentations, we find the most important lesson of all:

“It is because of the Lord’s great love that we are not consumed;
His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness.”

God does not teach us only in seasons of ease.
Often, it is in loss, confusion, and waiting that we encounter His grace most deeply.

From Aleph to Tav,
from beginning to end,
from the mountaintops to the valleys—
God is teaching us to know Him.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, thank You for being the God who delights to reveal Yourself.
Wherever I am in life, help me learn Your love, mercy, and faithfulness through every experience.
Teach me, as a child learning the alphabet, to walk humbly in Your ways until I can more fully read the story You are writing in my life.
