【传道书 8:15】

“我就称赞快乐，原来人在日光之下，莫强如吃喝快乐，因为他在日光之下，神赐他一生的年日，要从劳碌中时常享受所得的。”

许多人一生都在努力奔跑，为家庭付出，为工作尽责，为梦想坚持。我们总以为等到事情完成、目标达成、问题解决之后，才可以安心享受快乐。

然而，传道者经过许多观察之后发现，人无法掌控明天，也无法完全明白神一切的作为。既然如此，人最智慧的态度，不是忧虑未来，而是在敬畏神中，感恩领受祂今天所赐的一切。

这里所说的“吃喝快乐”，并不是放纵享乐，而是学习珍惜神的供应，享受劳碌所得的果实，感谢神赐下平凡却真实的恩典。

有时候，我们忙着追求下一个目标，却忽略了已经拥有的祝福；忙着服事别人，却忘了领受神给自己的安息；忙着等待未来，却错过了今天的恩典。

神不仅呼召我们忠心工作，也邀请我们享受祂所赐的生命。祂乐意看见祂的儿女在劳碌之后得着满足，在平凡的日子里发现喜乐，在每一天的供应中看见祂的爱。

“So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.”

✨ Devotional

Many people spend their whole lives running—
giving themselves for their families,
being responsible at work,
and persevering for their dreams.

We often think that only after the tasks are done, the goals achieved, and the problems solved,
then we can finally rest and enjoy joy with peace.

Yet the Teacher, after observing much, realized that humans cannot control tomorrow,
nor fully understand all that God is doing.
Since this is so, the wisest posture is not to worry about the future,
but to receive with gratitude what God gives today,
walking in reverence before Him.

The “eating and drinking with gladness” mentioned here
is not indulgence or escapism,
but learning to cherish God’s provision,
to enjoy the fruit of one’s labor,
and to give thanks for the ordinary yet real grace He pours out.

Sometimes we chase the next goal
and overlook the blessings already in our hands.
We serve others tirelessly
yet forget to receive the rest God wants to give us.
We wait anxiously for the future
and miss the grace God has placed in today.

God not only calls us to work faithfully—
He also invites us to enjoy the life He gives.
He delights to see His children find satisfaction after labor,
discover joy in ordinary days,
and recognize His love in daily provision.

Joy does not necessarily come from having more,
but from knowing that everything we have is grace from God.

Lord, thank You for every day You have given me.
Teach me to be grateful in my labor,
to find rest in the midst of busyness,
